Lamp's Review: Boston's
Toxic Narcotic gives another blast of grind punk fury with this
7" release. Though it only has one song on each side, the songs
are well worth hearing. Cockroach (which was recently remixed
for the Shoot People, Not Dope EP) is a switch-off between easier
listening reggae and a chorus of pure hardcore madness. The version
of War Song is a newer mix of the original version originally on
the "New Ways To Create Waste! 7". The new version
of the song is slightly faster and in a different key, but is still the
closest thing to metal the band has released in their 15 years. The
first 50,000 copies were also pressed in a cool looking marble blue color,
which is a nice bonus. However, it's just a shame there's only one
song on each side.
