What the hell happened here?  It can only be contributed to two things.  One is the Loss of Ceaser Soto, and the other is roasting through three different singers in four years!  What the hell is going on?  Are Rick and Eddie messing this all up?  I'm not to sure but I will tell you one thing...If they survive to make a next release, I am seriously considering listening to it on MP3 then buying it outright based on the performance of this one.

Everything is slowed down.  Where the hell did the chaos go?  I prefer speed with my metal and this one didn't produce.  About the only song that attempted to do anything that might have had some speed in it would be "Takedown."  They also dropped their Texas influence and went with a more straight-up style.  Bad Razors!  Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done!  The whole reason you kicked old people out of their wheel chairs was because you had Texas sound, polyrythms, and speed!  The most annoying part of this album?  The "vocalist" sings the chorus on some of the songs!  What the hell is that!  If I wanted Seal I would have listened to Delilah at 3am or gone to a wedding (funeral for the living).  A band that is capable of so much more producing an album like this is sad.  Like waiting near school for the "minnows" to come out.  With that in mind, if you combine no drum speed, awfully simple guitar work, no originality, with actual singing, you have created an album that produces a feeling that can only be described as either waking up late for work only to step in puppy shit with your bare feet, or buying something brand new only to have it not work when you get it home.  Just like this album it is not life threatening, but just the same a plain pain in the ass that could have been avoided.

Song Notes:

  1. No Way Out - O.K. song with mediocre guitar work and a singing (gag) chorus.  Congratulations, this is one of the better songs.  C-
  2. Fall Away - What the hell were they thinking?  Besides a riff half way through that makes little sense, this song can be avoided entirely.  D-
  3. Hanging on the Cross - A tie for the best song on the album.  This one, although there is singing, does contain early Pissing Razors style in terms of speed and guitar work.  C
  4. Evolution - O.K. song with some different guitar work (still simple).  No speed drumming to back it up though!  C-
  5. Perseverance- I can't comment about how much this songs sucks the sweat off a goat's teet.  D-
  6. The Threshold - Fastest drumming song.  However, crappy guitar work messes this one up big-time.  D
  7. Takedown - The other best song on the album.  Only for the intro.  After the intro, just walk away until the last part of the song.  C
  8. Two Faced Devil - Less annoying guitar work with some good guitar chugs, but too slow and little drum work until the end ruins the song and makes it seem commonplace.  D+
  9. Replace the Day - Good intro riff and drum work, but after that, I would leave the room.  D
  10. Evolucion (Spanish) - Like Spanish?  If you do then have fun.  It's the same exact song as Evolution otherwise.  Why would I pay for 10 songs and have two that are the same?  I'm kicking my own ass on that one!  F
