Uncle Meat's Review:
Lard is one of those “super groups”, for lack of a better word, that is less than the sum of its parts.  You would think with the guys form Ministry the music would be...well...better.  The music seems to take a backseat to Jello’s vocals/lyrics, which can be a problem if you are looking for "The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" material.  Not to say the album is a total waste, aside from the song titles and album title.  Jello always has something clever to say.  Some of the songs, "I Wanna Be A Drug Sniffing Dog" and "Peeling Back The Foreskin Of Liberty" in particular, are quite good, and thankfully there is not a 15+ minute ode to nothingness.
Uncle Meat's Rating:  B-
