Uncle Meat's Review:
I went to see GWAR in the fall of 2001 and it was an awesome show.  This CD, which was recorded a year earlier, was on sale so I picked it up, along with a t-shirt.  I’ve never seen it in a store or on-line so those who don’t have it are bummed out.  The thing with GWAR is that no matter how much ass they kick in concert, putting that on a disc would not be easy.  And this album proves that notion.  Aside from a killer song selection and some nice slights from Sleazy P. Martini, this comes off flat.  Muddy production, sound like it was recorded in someone’s bathroom.  On the plus side Slaughterama is here.

Shev's Review:
Out of all the bands that I had faith in that could possibly release a great live album, GWAR topped that list.  I mean, where would GWAR be today if it were not for their live performances?  They wouldn't even exist, and Dave Brockie would probably still be jamming with Death Piggy...which is why "You're All Worthless And Weak" is such a downer.  After all, everybody has heard "The Road Behind EP", and knows that GWAR has the potential to bring some great live moments to your home stereo.  We've all seen "Live From Antarctica", and know full well that capturing GWAR's sound is not a mystery.  So why this?  Why did GWAR just avoid Metal Blade entirely and release this soggy, bland, hard to hear live slab of human feces themselves?  Why avoid distribution entirely and offer this to only the people that attend live shows?  Because everybody knows it sucks.  This is actually worse than Entombed's Monkey Puss.  This is pure, steaming, cow manure pawned off on the fans with money to spend when they attend a live GWAR show.  This honestly sounds worse than most bootlegs, and even among purist GWAR fans, should be avoided entirely.
