Shev's Review:
Okay, so when bands do something like release an entire album, or in this case a double-disc, of nothing but cover songs I get a little skeptic.  Especially when said band hasn't released anything worth listening to since 1997.  But Entombed is one of those bands where once you're fan, you're always enough of a fan to give their newest release a shot.

So the good news about this is this double-disc includes every cover song they've recorded since the beginning of their career (up until it's release, obviously).  It's quite a diverse collection of material ranging from an obvious choice like "Black Breath" by Repulsion to more questionable selections such as "Kick Out The Jams" by MC5.  One thing the listener is guaranteed is that Entombed taints each and every cover with their own sound and style.  While it's obvious that these guys are fans of said material, there's no replication from the original...although a few covers like Hollywood Babylon by The Misfits certainly could use it.

So Entombed fans...it's really not that bad!  Most of these tunes you're already familiar with, and if you keep in mind that this is nothing more than a fun collection of covers and don't take it too seriously when they tromp all over assumed "holy ground", then this can easily be considered a must for any fan of Entombed.
