Lamp's Review:
This D.R.I. release has recordings that date back to when they were in Houston back over 20 years ago, and is their first release with some added tracks.  It's very obvious this is their first release as their sound often sounds undeveloped with inconsistent riffs and a generally goofy drum style.  It wasn't until later, and after some member changes that their true sound formed.  However, there are some standout tracks such as "Blockhead" with its quiet intro, "I Don't Need Society" with it's very loud intro, "Dennis' Problem" for its catchy riffs, "Reaganomics" for its cool guitar fills, and "No Sense" for transiting from very slow to very fast.  The later tracks added from compilations and the Violent Pacification EP do show improvement in their sound with more varying beats and newer metal sounding riffs which act as a precursor to their crossover sound.  The radio interviews are a great bonus as well as the live tracks, even if you can barely hear them.  But all that aside, this band still needed some work in their sound overall.
