Skin Splitter's Review:
Well, I first heard of this record from a post on our own message board.
I went to the "Most Precious Blood" website and clicked on the link
(since Most Precious Blood makes the music for this). Heard one song
"Locking Jaws" and was immediately entertained. Here is a "grindcore
band" with two pitbulls as singers. Yes, that's right. Two dogs for
singers. So, what was the natural thing to do? That's right.
Buy the RECORD for $6.99. Why? Cause it's funny. The first thing I realized was
that this is halfway a joke, halfway some good work. The first thing
is that the record has twelve tracks and clocks in at under fifteen minutes.
Strike one. The second part is that they are trying to say that THE DOGS
wrote the lyrics. Last time I knew, dogs didn't understand complete coherent sentences.
Strike two. Therefore, I was immediately ready to write this one off into the
joke/utter crap section of lore. However, I soon learned that the album, although short, is tastefully
done and that there was some real effort in putting this out. This album is so short that I can't separate the tracks from one another so a
quick review is the only true way of doing this. I highly suggest
everything from Budge #1 through Locking Jaws. I also recommend
Bite The Hand That Breeds You. They are truly works of art (although they are short).
So, overall this album is a joke to me and something that I would play for my friends for a laugh, but is
still a joke in good taste.
